The session
The microphones:
In this session we’ve used a minimal setup of three microphones. The alien8 dynamic mic on the kick by Dr Alien Smith. A great mic for capturing everything that is great in a kickdrum. The Sennheiser MD441 as snare top, but the main sound is the Chandler Limited TG microphone as a ‘wurst-mic’. Less is more, right?
